Meals-on-Wheels’ 20th Annual Golf Benefit

Meals-on-Wheels and its Title Sponsor, Community Bank, will host the 20th Annual Golf Benefit on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Hidden Creek Golf Course in Burleson with tee times at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. “Please mark your calendars for this event. It is the largest event for our organization raising monies and bringing awareness about our services to the community,” said Vinsen Faris, executive director.

The Benefit has continued to grow each year, raising the money to provide meals to the homebound. Last year, the event raised a record $65,000. “This year’s event will be no different. With the increase in the number of needy elderly persons in our community, Meals-on-Wheels has more challenges than ever,” Faris commented.

Golfer registration will begin in July, and golfers can register online. The entry fee will be $80 per golfer, or $320 per team. The entry fee includes green fee, ½ cart, a t-shirt, cold drinks and food throughout the day.
