Help Us Serve 38,000 Holiday Meals!

With the holidays fast approaching, you have probably already started planning your meals...but imagine planning over 38,000 meals for the holidays!

That's what Meals-on-Wheels is doing right now! We hope to provide that many meals to our homebound elderly and disabled this holiday season. These meals are special for a number of our seniors in Johnson and Ellis Counties...because they are unable to provide meals for themselves.

Preparing and delivering 38,000 meals during the holidays is going to take some very special help, and we are asking you to join us by sending a holiday gift or help us by volunteering to get these meals delivered.

This past year, we have seen a 30% increase in services, along with the change in the personal needs of our clients.  More than ever before, many that we serve are needy, live alone, and have no family near or any at all. Therefore, our volunteers become "family" to them, especially during this time of the year. A hot meal and a smile can mean so much to someone who is isolated. 
         
But, as the challenges for Meals-on-Wheels grow and change, we must have more volunteers, and more financial support from our community. By the end of the year, we will have served over 2,600 homebound individuals in Johnson and Ellis counties.  This has all been accomplished, and made possible by you—our donors, volunteers, and supporters—THANK YOU!    

Help us make this holiday season joyous for everyone! We hope you'll participate in this "season of sharing" effort for 750 homebound persons living right here in Johnson and Ellis Counties.
